Novelty of the Project
A vast rural area in Southwest part of West Bengal is exposed to such problems . But, no detail project covering diversified perspective of livelihood in this region has been undertaken .
Broad Methodology vThe study is based on both primary and secondary data
vPrimary data collection will be based on structured interview at both household and individual level, group discussions, observation methods and case studies.
vConstruction of livelihood index constructed on the basis of economic status index, agricultural index , food security index etc.
vAssessing the role of institutions in promoting rural livelihood.
vApart from this charts and diagrams, statistical measures and tests, regression technique, indexing method etc would be applied for the analytical purpose.
